almost fall
We’ve been working in the garden a lot lately. I pulled out the dead/dying pea plants and tugged out some other plants at the end of their life cycles. We’ll probably try to plant a new bed of lettuce before too much longer in the hopes that we’ll get another crop before fall.
Fall is approaching. Most of the time I would be so happy to see it come; fall is by far my favorite season. Pumpkins! Cooler weather, the smell of burning leaves. Fires in the fire pit while sitting on straw bales, apple orchards, baking … the holidays that come….
Somehow, this year, it’s bittersweet. While I still enjoy fall, I’m bummed to see our garden slowing down.
We do have a ton of plans to make next year’s even better, however.
What’s your favorite season?

Beautiful pictures

I like spring most — everything starts sprouting again and our weather is usually quite nice. Fall seems so short here (west central Texas), but I enjoy it too — funnily enough, I like when the leaves start changing colors and falling. I’m happy to see them fall, but even more happy to see new ones pop out in the spring!!
Winter is the only season I dislike — not a cold weather gal at all.
Our garden is empty until we plant for the fall. Not sure yet what we’ll plant — it’ll be our first fall garden

These are great photos. Actually all of your work is exceptionally good! My wife pointed me here and I’m glad she did. My favorite time of year is definitely fall. The cool wind in the air after such a hot summer, makes me want to pack up and run for my favorite hiking spots. mmmmmm I love that cool breeze.
